Another you, another guy
Another person telling me
Life is amazing, deeds don’t matter;
I love you.
Life is amazing, I’ll believe it
When I see a perfect score on my algebra
Or see those ODEs untangling themselves
Or see peacocks dancing outside my room
Or when that sink in the BPCL restroom
stops leaking, for heaven’s sake.
Life is amazing, I’ll believe it
When I don’t wake up guilt-ridden
When I stop comparing myself to those better off
When I finally stop living in the past
Life is amazing, I’d like to believe
Believe in a soulful trek up to see the sun rise
Or a morning run amidst the dewy leaves
Or watching your family enjoy soaps
Or the plethora of possibilities in a wave equation
Or in a festival painted with the brightest hues
Or in the faintest possibility of camaraderie
I’m me and you’re you
I’d like to believe the world is still good
I’d like to not be jaded, damaged and silenced
I’d like to laugh again
